WhatsApp "part-time job" task scam
An unsolicited message offers easy daily earnings for "tasks" such as liking videos or reviewing products. Small payouts arrive at first; then the tasks require deposits to "unlock" bigger commissions, and the deposits are gone. The FTC describes the pattern under job scams.

How to recognise it
- A job offer you never applied for, from an unknown number
- Pay for clicking or reviewing, no interview, no company
- Sooner or later you must deposit money to continue
What to do
- Do not reply; block and report the number in WhatsApp
- Never deposit money to "unlock" earnings
Already called, clicked or paid? what to do in the next hour
- Stop depositing; the "balance" on the platform is not real money
- Report to the FTC or your fraud centre with the numbers and platform address
